The staff were very friendly and nice.
The bed was very uncomfot
I am grateful to doctors and health care assisstants as well as nurses and housekeeping staff in Allen ward. In addiction admin staff and on occasion social workers have been very prompt and efficient. Permanent staff especially have shown good level of professionalism
The staff in Wintle Ward were fantastic. Their caring, kind, gentle professionalism was inspirational. They were very responsive to constructive suggestions about food, fridge space, exercise and activities. Even the patients formed a warm and caring group of support on the ward with guidance from staff. The facilities available are impressive e.g. well-stocked arts and crafts room, lovely TV room with books, puzzles, DVDs and videos, large TV and DVD players. I would have liked to have used the musical instruments available, and I hope patients will receive more fridge space for personal items. I also hope that budget will allow for more exercise options within the ward for patients with no leave or only escorted leave. A shame that staffing levels are below the ideal, which meant patients did not always get the exercise they needed. But given the staffing constraints, the existing staff did an impressive job giving individual care whenever possible and appropriate. Thank you for supporting my swift recovery.
The care and being there.
Less noise
Bored looking at the four walls and being told to rest
Other patients watch the Christian tv channels for four hours a day and won't let me change the channel
All the members of staff are very respectful towards patients and friendly and supportive towards each patients needs.
Things that could improved: having a permanent member is staff to cover the front door duties and mobile phone charging service
I was treated like a child who isn't capable of consent.
I was accused of having zero insight into my own condition.
